15/01/2001 More than 17,000 embrace Islam:
Riyadh, 15th January 2001
The Administration of Communities, an affiliate of the Ministry of Islamic
Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance, has announced that the number
of people who have embraced Islam reached 17,226 from 1412 AH until the
end of Rajab, 1421AH.
“This deed has been accomplished by the virtue of Allah and continual
efforts of the Islamic callers and preachers,” according to a statistical
report issued by the Administration here today.
It said the new converts are from various nationalities, notably Philippines,
Sri Lanka and India.
